Manager Financial Accounting (m/f/d)

Ihre Aufgaben: Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Supports organizational effectiveness through the identification and communication of process improvement opportunities
  • Ensure correct accounting treatment of German, Austrian and Swiss legal entities, according to IFRS including all Balance Sheet and P&L positions
  • Tis includes the accounting assessment of tasks and implementation into existing or newly created processes and communication of the necessary changes
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction with service provided
  • First point of contract for other department in regards to accounting questions
  • Responsible for issue resolution
  • Advise Senior Management (FSS, Group Accounting, Tax and others) on accounting treatment according to German GAAP of all upcoming initiatives, projects & system developments
  • Develop Fixed Asset accounting to ensure correct accounting treatment for the significant CAPEX expenditure of the German legal entities
  • Manage Fixed Asset Accountant ensuring correct accounting treatment according to IFRS and local GAAP for assigned companies
  • Ensure correctness of personnel accruals and accounting treatment of the various Define-Benefit Pension Plans according to IFRS and local GAAP
  • Support preparation of published annual financial statements of the company according to German GAAP including preparation of accounting notes included in these statements
  • Responsible for complete preparation of annual financial statements of different corporate groups
  • Oversee and assist with documentation for support to external auditors for year-end or interim audit. Discuss accounting treatments with auditors in case of different opinion to achieve the best possible result. Act as expert on all queries from these auditors
  • Oversee and assist with documentation of Group Taxes and tax auditors to support tax audits to keep deadlines and avoid disadvantages for the company
  • Determine optimal working processes and controls needed for accurate reporting. Ensuring effective processes, solutions and collaborations across various impacted teams

  • Supervision of a team and people management in line with the HR Tools and Policies
  • Ensure team’s management and performance appraisal and guidance as well as organizing and supervising of the daily work, through appropriate delegation and guidance
Ihre Qualifikation:
Required Professional Qualifications:
  • University degree in Finance or Professional Education in Accounting (Bilianzbuchhalter)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in Accounting for an international company
  • Experience with SAP FI
  • Experienced accountant with expert knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and detailed knowledge of IFRS
  • Good knowledge of VAT and knowledge of German Corporation Tax rules
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English in a business setting
  • Fluent German skills
  • Ability to understand complex issues and situations and propose appropriate solutions
  • Knowledge of German tax law
  • Experience with MS Office
